The path from Morocco to France goes through Colombian cuisine at Vibrante & Vivido.

Our recommendation: The food at this booth is both pretty and delicious, but skip the soup unless you can take the heat.

Our Thoughts

Best of the Booth

You’ll be able to identify everyone else who devoured this outstanding dish because they’ll be wearing turmeric aioli too. But the pastry is so well done and the filling is savory and scrumptious. Worth it.

Rest of the Booth

The Spicy Ajiaco Soup is gluten-friendly and a giant serving. It’s visually fabulous. But it was way, way, too spicy for us. We’re spice weenies, so if your tolerance is higher than ours this might just be your jam. The créme fraîche does help a little, but not quite enough to bring this into our wheelhouse.

The Passion Fruit Mousse is also gluten-friendly and one of our favorites. If you are a passion fruit aficionado, this is going to make you very happy. There is nothing false about this and the dragon fruit jam in the center is just a bonus. Rarely does a festival dish make such a lovely picture and match looks with taste, but this one does.

Bonus pick: this booth is the only one to serve breakfast, until 11 a.m. The Breakfast Empanada is $6.75 and is so lovely! Ham, eggs, and cheese inside of a buttery, flaky pastry pocket. This is the extent of the breakfast menu, but you can snag a coffee and one of their splendid Coconut and Passion Fruit Smoothies while you’re there.
