What is the History of the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular?
The Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular show debuted to guests on August 25, 1989, just a few months after the park opened on May 1, 1989. It’s one of the last remaining attractions at the park that still shows guests how movies are made.
What You Need to Know About the Queue
Lines may form before the theater opens for a show, but there is more of an organized or controlled entrance than a physical queue.
What You Need to Know About the Theater
The show’s theater holds 2,000 people; and like most theaters at Walt Disney World, every seat offers a great view of the stage. The seats are long metal benches with a metal back. There are no safety restraints. The theater is open-air but well-covered. While it may protect guests from the rain, it won’t provide much of an escape from the Florida heat and humidity.
What You Need to Know About the Experience

The show highlights particular scenes and stunts from Raiders of the Lost Ark in a simulated “live” set situation, such as the classic rolling boulder scene, the chase through streets of Cairo, and then Indy’s fight around the German plane. This action-packed show also provides an inside look at how these stunts are performed as well. Guests can even volunteer to be an “extra” in the show!

There is no height requirement for the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular. Every member of the family can enjoy this show!
Does the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular Offer FastPass+?
The Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular does offer FastPass+, but it’s not recommended. While it’s not unusual for a show to reach capacity, there are multiple showings per day and arriving at the theater ahead of time almost always guarantees a seat.
Does Weather Affect the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular?
Since the theater is covered, guests are protected from the elements. However, rain and inclement weather may shorten the show as there are scenes which take place outside.
What’s the Best Time of Day to Experience the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular?
The first performance is always the easiest to see. If the first show is at 10 a.m. or earlier, you can usually walk in, even if you arrive 5 minutes late. For the second performance, show up about 15–20 minutes ahead of time; for the third and subsequent shows, arrive 20–30 minutes early. If you plan to tour during late afternoon and evening, attend the last performance of the day.
