As I had mentioned earlier, Disney has finally confirmed – Flying Fish at Disney’s BoardWalk will be seeing a very lengthy refurbishment as Disney works to reimagine the space. The refurbishment work will begin on February 1, 2016.
When the extremely popular signature restaurant reopens in the fall, it will see a completely new and fresh look. The reimagined dining room will still have an onstage kitchen and an airier design, with more room for the Chef’s Counter and wine dinners. The restaurant will also see a new menu, however popular menu items will remain, such as the potato-wrapped snapper.
While no reopening date was officially announced by Disney in their blog post announcing this refurbishment, as you will notice from the link above, it had been previously indicated that the restaurant should reopen on October 1, 2016. I will make sure to keep you posted on any further information as it becomes available.
