Have you ever made an Advance Dining Reservation and then realized that you needed to make an adjustment because you had a conflict that popped up or because the number of Guests you were bringing to the dining experience changed? It’s happened to me multiple times, however, in the past, I was unable to change my reservation, so I had to either cancel the reservation and start over or beg and be at the mercy of the Cast Member upon arrival at the restaurant.

Well no more! Now, Guests are able to easily modify their Advance Dining Reservations online, right from their computer. No more calling reservations to change seating time or number of Guests in the party!

Guests can make these modifications up to 20 minutes prior to their reserved seating time, however, keep in mind that this option is only available to be able to do through the website, not through a smart phone app, such as My Disney Experience or the Disneyland app. Guests looking to modify reservations can do so by visiting http://www.disneyworld.com/dining or www.disneyland.com/dining

Guests will still have the option to call can also call (714) 781-DINE for Disneyland or 407-WDW-DINE for Walt Disney World to speak with a Dining Reservation agent.

  • I cannot thank you enough for the post.Really looking forward to reading more. Want more.

  • Well, that explains that…

My 60-day window for making FP+ reservations came up this past weekend and I ended up having to adjust some dining times. It wasn’t until I was done that I thought, “I don’t ever remember being able to do this before…” I guess that’s because it was new!

  • I just tried it for a ADR on setup for Monday, we had 2 in the party bail out for the original time. It was very much like cancelling and booking another, since it checked for available times and the ones presented were not the same as the original booking. If it was an actual problem, better to just walk up to the counter and say the other couple got sick.

  • How much adjustment are they allowing? I’ve never had a problem with the number of people decreasing or members of my party changing when I walk up to the counter and I can’t imagine them letting you shift the time unless a spot was available (which means you should have been able to book the new time and simultaneously cancel the old with the previous way the system worked). Are they allowing the number of people to grow? That’s the only think I could see actually being functionally different than my experience in the past and it would require that they had larger tables available which seems like it could only be the case in a restaurant with available seats anyway.

    • Yeah I really see no advantage, because all it’s doing is canceling and re-booking IF the new time and/or number of people happen to be available.

  • Such a welcome improvement! So much can change in the 180 days between booking a reservation and actually dining. It’s nice to know we now have the ability to make adjustments as required. Thanks Disney!!
