Harambe Fruit Market – The Best Spot in Animal Kingdom for a Healthy Snack

Adventure requires good fuel. Disney’s Animal Kingdom has some of my favorite places to eat and drink at Walt Disney World. But there’s one spot I tend to overlook. Thankfully, Chrissy recently visited and reminded me, and the team, of the good stuff you can find at Harambe Fruit Market.

Harambe Fruit Market

This mini market just outside the entrance to Kilimanjaro Safaris is great for grabbing fresh fruit, roasted corn on the cob, and a few indulgences too. Here’s some of the highlights on the menu:

  • Corn on the Cob – $5.29
  • Cuties Mandarin (3-pack) – $4.19
  • Apples and Caramel – $3.99
  • Mickey Pretzel with Cheese – $6.79
  • Hot Dog served with Chips – $8.99

Certainly the fresh fruit is overpriced. But the quality of the fruit is usually top-notch. And with a mix of fresh fruit as well as some savory, salty indulgences this one stop can generally please every member of the family. First thing in the morning you can usually grab a sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit – a specialty of the entire park that tends to sell out quick.

  • I am a diabetic, so this stand is a family favorite and we always stop and get something tasty and healthy.

Afterwards, while walking around and snacking, we get multiple people coming up to us asking where did we get these snacks.
