Are you going to see Monkey Kingdom this weekend? It looks pretty darn cute!

Holy cow! What a Disney news week it was! This week’s articles include an intriguing look at MyMagic+, a featurette about Tomorrowland, oh and some minor news about some movie called….Star….Wars? I don’t know if this will be a big thing or not. 😉

Seriously, we need to get to it, because there’s just so much great stuff to read and see!

In Case You Missed It – Disney and Universal Orlando News and Rumors

This is the must read article of the week. If you don’t read any thing else I’ve included here, you need to make sure to read this article from Fast Company. It is the most probing article into MyMagic+ and shares the story on its development. It is a fascinating read. Oh and let me know your thoughts about it.

Do you want to know what one of Disney’s best kept secrets is? No, it isn’t DVC. Instead, it’s “Yehaa” Bob Jackson! Don’t miss this great article, all about Bob, and why he is such a great Disney treasure and a pure entertainer. (And Bob…don’t worry…your hair looks great!) Oh and if you haven’t caught Bob’s show yet, make sure you do that too. It’s a hoot!

The Epcot Starbucks mugs are now back! Check out what they look like now.

My thoughts go out to Gary Terry’s family and friends, as well as anyone else affected by this week’s Richard Petty Driving Experience fatal crash.

For those of you cruising on Disney Cruise Line soon, you’ll be paying more to dine at Remy and Palo.

Are you curious about the prequel novel, “Before Tomorrowland”? Entertainment Weekly talks to the author of the book to get the details.

Speaking of Tomrrowland, it is probably the most intriguing project to me. It’s strange because I want to know as much and yet as little as possible about the movie. Here is a great featurette featuring George Clooney, Brad Bird, Damon Lindelof, and more discussing some of what is behind the film.

Who will be the titans of the box office this summer? Many think it’s between Disney and Universal. See why. Also, which do you truly think will win the summer box office wars out of these two and why? Both really do have extremely strong line ups.

For those of you hoping that Spider-Man will be in the new Avengers movie at the end credits, Kevin Feige has one word for you…and it isn’t what you were hoping to hear.

For those looking towards the future, Avengers: Infinity War will include Thanos, plus a few other villains, it would seem, at least according to Joss Whedon.

Steven Spielberg will direct his first Disney film ever. Find out what it is.

Did you catch the social media explosion that happened yesterday? I mean, how could you miss it? Well, if you did…here’s the second teaser trailer of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. What are your thoughts of it?

Just in case you missed the panel discussion about Star Wars: The Force Awakens, here it is in full. (PS: Disney…you know what would be great…if you would consider doing this type of live broadcast/recap video for I don’t know…say….D23 this year. I would love to see some of the panel discussions from those events, but certainly can’t make it to California for the event. You saw all the social media praise you got yesterday from airing this panel live…you’d likely get a pretty good social fervor from D23 events too.)

Frozen is slated to debut on television beginning early next year, in February. So, get ready to plan your viewing parties now.

Wow – that MyMagic+ article is really a fascinating read. It’s safe to assume that not every Disney meeting and collaboration is “sunshine and rainbows” but it was interesting to hear how challenging it can be. It makes me appreciate all the work that went into MyMagic+ and what it is currently able to do. My family has only been on one week-long trip using it, but we really liked the features and felt it was progress being made.

I agree, the MyMagic+ article was eye opening, and I’m wondering if one of the current members of WDW management who are on their way out helped craft that story to put the blame of the “failure” on others.
