Items We Fell In Love With This Week – November 5, 2021
Every week, our team is window shopping in the parks — and sometimes shopping shopping. We started seeing winter holiday items last week and now we can report that it is all Christmas, all the time in the stores at Walt Disney World. Here’s a peek at some of the merch we’ve seen pop up in during the past week.
Loungefly Bag
It wouldn’t be a Disney event without a themed Loungefly bag. This year’s winter holiday version features sweet treat with a Disneyfied flair. That Mickey bar with a Santa hat is so stinking cute! You’ll see below that this print appears on a number of other items as well.
And on a semi-related note, am I the last person on earth to realize that Loungefly is part of Funko, the folks that make those ubiquitous big-headed pop culture vinyl collectibles. Who knew?
Spirit Jerseys
Spirit Jerseys are another seasonal staple at Disney World. We’ve seen three versions so far this year, two variations on the sweets print and classic characters enjoying snow sports. I have to say that red one with the Goofy mug is kinda freaking me out. It’s like the candy stripe straw is sucking out his brains. (Sorry, wan’t Halloween just a few days ago?)
Crocs
I’m not normally a Crocs person, but this fleece-lined version looks super cozy. They kind of have an Uggs vibe, at a much lower price point. They’d be great for walking your dog on a cool winter morning. That Mickey-with-whipped-cream Jibbitz is extra, extra adorable. But wait – here is semi-beheaded Goofy again, along with similarly scalped Chip & Dale topped with marshmallows and steam. I am simultaneously enticed and appalled.
Headwear
This year’s Minnie ears feature a bright red bow adorned with flocked snowflakes centered between felt wreaths bejeweled with hidden Mickey ornaments. The ears are darling, but I’m more excited about the basic baseball cap embellished with a Santa Mickey. This cap is something I’ll actually wear outside the parks, which is a big win in my book.
Would any of these items have made it into your purchased pile? Let us know in the comments.
