Items We Fell In Love With This Week, October 29, 2021
Every week, our team is window shopping in the parks — and sometimes shopping shopping. Halloween is still a few days away, but in the world of Disney merchandise it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Wintery items and holiday decor are starting to take over the park shops. Here’s a peek.
Ceramic Tree
Ceramic Christmas trees have been a Disney merchandise staple for the past several years. This version includes light-up ornaments and glowing star as the topper. Images printed on the tree include Mickey and Minnie, Pluto, Chip and Dale, a sleigh, snowfolk, and a castle. This would make a perfect holiday season nightlight for a child’s room.
Holiday Print Dooney & Bourke Bags
Dooney & Bourke bags are a popular big-ticket gift item. This year we have a wintery print with classic characters enjoying snow sports. This print appears on several styles of bag. While the art is adorable, I find the holiday theme somewhat limits the utility of these items — they’re something I would be unlikely to use during all but a few weeks a year. An alternative would be the darling Dooneys below that feature Jerrod Maruyama’s Kingdom of Cute designs.
Cold Weather Accessories
It’s still somewhat steamy in Florida, but believe it or not, there are some days when you want to bundle up at the parks. This cozy hat and scarf set will keep you warm without weighing you down. These items also make a great gift for Disney fan who lives in a colder climate.
Kids Character Fuzzy Fleece
Yes – these fleecy sweaters are a terrific layer to keep the kiddos warm when the temperatures dip. No – WE DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THEY DON’T MAKE THESE IN ADULT SIZES.
Honorable mention: Polynesian Resort Merchandise
We spotted a bunch of new merchandise items at the Polynesian hotel. That retro glassware is *chef’s kiss* – a must-buy for tiki bar fans.
Would any of these items have made it into your purchased pile? Let us know in the comments.
