Events such as the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival are a wonderful time to introduce limited-edition merchandise. This year’s festival includes a limited-edition MagicBand featuring artwork of Anna and Elsa inspired by Frozen Fever, the new animated short coming to theaters with the live-action movie of Cinderella.
The MagicBand release is limited to 5000, but as of Sunday, March 8, 2015, was still available for sale at Epcot. In addition to being labeled as limited edition on the inside and having artwork of Elsa and Anna on one side and flowers and “sparkles” on the other, this MagicBand has an extra surprise. When used at the main gate in Epcot or when tapping in at a FastPass+ return kiosk, there is a special sound and a shimmer of rainbow lights.
Some people have reported that they were required to link the MagicBand to an account at the time of purchase, while others were given the option to link it later through the app or at Guest Relations.
The retail price of this MagicBand is $29.95, and it comes in a decorative box. While the MagicBand is currently not sold out, it is likely to sell out before the end of the Flower and Garden Festival.
Here are some additional pictures of the MagicBand and its box, plus video of its special effect.
