Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Being Replaced By Disney Very Merriest After Hours for 2021
Walt Disney World Resort Guests will be able to celebrate the holidays in the very merriest way at the Magic Kingdom during a brand new event featuring Character sightings, themed fireworks, tasty treats and more! This Christmas season, during Disney Very Merriest After Hours, Guests will be able to enjoy favorite holiday festivities in a four hours hard ticketed event. Disney Very Merriest After Hours will be replacing Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party this year.
During Disney Very Merriest After Hours, Guests will be able to see favorite Disney friends spreading holiday cheer throughout the park.
Cinderella Castle will include holiday-themed projections throughout the night. Oh and yes, this After Hours event WILL include fireworks, courtesy of Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show. The show is a dazzling fireworks display hosted by Minnie Mouse. Guests will also be able to enjoy snowfall on Main Street, U.S.A.
Guests will, of course, be able to indulge in delicious holiday treats, ice cream, popcorn and bottled beverages that are all included with the cost of admission. There will also be additional themed food and beverages available for purchase.
Plus, you’ll be able to enjoy the Magic Kingdom for 4 hours after the park closes, with less time waiting in line for attractions. And yes, some of these attraction will include holiday-themed overlays. (If they do the Space Mountain overlay again this year, you MUST experience it. It was one of the coolest things I’ve done…and I’ve done the attraction completely in the dark too.)
Finally, attendees will also be able to take advantage of holiday-themed Disney PhotoPass photo opportunities.
Disney Very Merriest After Hours will take place from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. on select nights, from November 8 through December 21, 2021. Tickets will go on sale next month. A limited number of tickets will be sold for the event which will be offered after regular park operating hours. An early purchase option will be available to Guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels.
Event tickets will grant admission to the Magic Kingdom as early as 7:00 p.m. These dated event tickets do not require an additional day theme park ticket or Disney Park Pass theme park reservation.

Ages 3 and up need tickets, which cost the same as an adult ticket. But no a child age 2 will not need a ticket.
