Minnie Vans to Take Walt Disney World Guests To/From Orlando International Airport

Last week, Disney announced that they would be introducing the ability for Guests to take their Minnie Van service both to and from the airport. (Well, technically, Disney was already allowing Guests to travel to the airport for their departing flight.)  However, at the time, information was extremely light about what Guests could expect. Therefore, I have done some research and have additional information that could help you decide if you would like to take the (pricey) ride to or from MCO using the Minnie Van Airport Shuttle Service.

Guests staying at any Walt Disney World Resort hotel can also use Minnie Vans for travel to and from Orlando International Airport. Each Minnie Van Airport Shuttle can hold up to six passengers and eight medium-sized suitcases. In addition, for those with little ones, up to three complimentary car seats can also be provided and those who need ADA accessible vehicles will also find that they are available.

For those arriving at Orlando International Airport, the pick up location can be found by the baggage claim escalators. Do keep in mind that luggage delivery through Disney Magical Express is not included with the Minnie Van Airport Shuttle service. Luggage is transported in the vehicle and Guests wishing to use this service must retrieve their bags off the carousel. The hours of operation for flight arrivals are from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

For those looking to use the service for departures, the hours of operation are 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. Guests will need to catch their Minnie Vans airport shuttle two hours prior to their flight. It is recommended that Guests who wish to take advantage of the Minnie Van Airport Shuttle to the airport take part in the Resort Airline Check-In.

The cost to use this service is a flat $150, no matter how many Guests. This is a per trip cost, so if you are looking to use the service both to AND from the airport, it will cost you $300 total. Oh and keep in mind, gratuity not included in that cost. (Please tip your driver.)

Note that unlike the Minnie Vans that take Guests around the Walt Disney World Resort, the Minnie Van Airport Shuttles are not bookable online or via the Lyft app. Those who wish to use the Minnie Vans airport shuttle service must make a reservation by calling 407-WDW-PLAY. The cost for the Minnie Van Airport Shuttle will be charged to your room.

Another thing to know is that the Minnie Van shuttle service to and from Orlando International Airport is not available for the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, Four Seasons Resort Orlando, Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels, Walt Disney World Gateway Hotels or  any Walt Disney World Good Neighbor Hotels.

Minnie Vans are not replacing Disney’s Magical Express. Magical Express will still be offered and Guests can still use this free service to transport them to and from the airport to the resort.

  • round trip airfare for 4 is <$150 from CLT airport to mco for us. this is a joke

  • Can you still use the Minnie Van service if you don’t have a smart phone with you or a phone e that is not compatible with the Lyft app because it’s too old a model?

  • $150?
For that you can get a real 10 passenger ‘movie star’ style black Lincoln Stretch Limo with complimentary champagne. TV, Ice chest. https://www.orlandolimousinefl.com/
Just ran some numbers and a 10 passenger stretch limo from MCO to the Poly..is 117.
Not sure if that includes champagne but it does include water, soda and ice and glass wear.

    • We once were scooped up by this Minnie Van Airport Shuttle. Pixie dust I guess. It is quite the experience- they had the van stocked with drinks, snacks, candies, chargers- they handed the kids a paper on all the movies they could pick to watch for the ride- when they got out- he loaded them up with all the candy and snacks to take to the room. Very nice vehicle and he gave the 411 on anything Disney. I think we might not have ever considered this service before for $150— but it’s like staying club level. Do it once, and you will want it for every trip lol

  • What is the benefit of using this service if you can get a regular Uber/Lyft for much cheaper? (I just checked and a 6-person ride was less than $60 so even if you had to take two vehicles, it would still be cheaper than a Minnie Van.) I guess if money is no object and you like to drive in a van with Minnie Mouse decor …

  • Is the change to three car seats also going to be for the “bubble” Minne Vans? Or is it just for the airport run?
