New Disney Face Masks on shopDisney Available for Pre-Order

The hottest Disney accessory is not a pair of mouse ears or a cute mini backpack. It’s a face mask.

A month ago I wrote about What Walt Disney World Will Be Like When It Re-Opens, and in that post I mused as to whether or not Disney would start selling face masks. Well, the answer is yes!

Disney face masks are available to pre-order now. They come in four packs and in small, medium, and large sizes. They are $19.99 per pack, which works out to $5 a mask. Available designs include classic Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, cute character faces and Princess designs.

I personally think the cute character faces pack is adorable, and a way to add a little joy to an otherwise difficult situation.

Lots of small online shops from independent makers and charitable organizations have been selling their own handmade face masks. If you are able, I recommend supporting those folks as well.

Due to the unique nature of this product as it relates to public health, shopDisney includes instructions for how to properly wear and care for your mask. I think it is important to include Disney’s official product description:

Disney is committed to serving the communities where we live and work. During these challenging times, Disney is using the power of our timeless stories and beloved characters to address our guests’ needs for family-friendly reusable cloth face masks.

Disney is donating one million cloth face masks for children and families in underserved and vulnerable communities across the U.S. that will be distributed by MedShare (www.medshare.org). Disney will also donate all profits from the sales in the U.S. of Disney’s cloth face masks to Medshare, up to $1 million, now through September 30, 2020.

Please note, due to the nature of this item there are no refunds, exchanges or returns.

Will you be ordering any of these Disney face masks?

  • Wasn’t there a site for free shipping on first order? I know I’m 3 weeks late for putting in my order but what will approximate delivery date thank u in advance

  • ONLY WANT 1 SET OF MASKS 11111111 NOT 3

  • Have we found out where these make are made?

  • The estimated delivery dates (mine is at the end of June) are interesting if you imagine that Disney would want these masks available before parks reopen. I saw on another site that some After Hours events in July are being cancelled.

As for where they’re made, I think it’s safe to say that Disney would tout “manufactured in America” if they were. Still, this isn’t some sweatshop selling items through sketchy websites. And these are not intended to be medical-grade protection. Like any cloth mask, their purpose is to prevent you from infecting others, so the more people wear cloth masks the better.

If you’re worried about contamination, wash before first use (should do that anyway). Anyway, even if an item you order of any kind was soaked in COVID-19 before shipment, just wait a week after you get it.

  • I ordered the Marvel pack. The product info estimated July 15, but that seemed fine as something tells me face masks will not be going away any time soon. At least I will look extra-cool at IOA’s Meet the Marvel Superheroes.

  • Super excited to get these in ::checks estimated delivery date:: LATE JUNE.

  • I too would like to know the country of origin for manufacture of these face masks.

    • Under the product description on the shopDisney website it states that the material is imported. However, it does not provide manufacturing information, from what I could find.

  • Where are these being made at? In the USA, I hope?

  • If they made a Darth Vader mask (the bottom part where the respirator is) I’d be first in line to get one (or four)!
