New Up Close with Rhinos Tour Coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom

If you like animal tours, Disney’s Animal Kingdom offers some incredible ones! I’ve heard nothing but fantastic things about the Caring for Giants tour that was introduced last year. That particular tour teaches Guests about the majesty of elephants.

Well, now, there’s going to be a new tour that the park will be offering. Up Close with Rhinos will be a backstage tour where your guides introduce you to the park’s white rhinos by offer fascinating insights into the species’ behavior and biology and discuss the challenges that threaten populations in the wild. This tour is a look at how the parks’ dedicated animal team cares for the white rhinos on Kilimanjaro Safaris and as part of this experience, guests may even get a chance to touch a rhino.

This will be a 60 minute tour that is offered daily at 11:00 a.m. and the cost is $40 per person. Guests must be at least 4 years of age or older to participate.
