Our Favorite Dessert of Disney Springs “Celebrate HERstory” Honoring Women’s History Month
We are loving the “Celebrate HERstory” offerings at Disney Springs which honors Women’s History Month. As you would imagine, there are lots of tasty treats available to celebrate the occasion. But there is one that is our absolutely favorite above all others, and you’ve just got to try it. Chef Yoly’s Flancocho at Amorette’s is a must!
Chef Yolanda Lazo Colon from Amorette’s Patisserie whipped up Chef Yoly’s Flancocho, a mix of chocolate cake and flan. The details on this dessert are stunning. There’s delicate edible flowers, a slice of dried strawberry, and lovely little meringue drops.
The flan is the epitome of flan custards with a sweet taste with warm spice and caramel flavors, and a smooth texture. The chocolate cake bottom adds a lot of richness and decadence.
This dessert is a fantastic way to honor Chef Yolanda Lazo Colon, and honor women of every background. For $7.50 it is a good value too.
We’ll have more on the Celebrate HERstory celebration, but in the meantime, here’s some of the female-owned businesses at Disney Springs:
- Erin McKenna’s Bakery NYC (Baker and owner, Erin McKenna.)
- Rustic Cuff (Owner Jill Donovan)
- SugarBoo and Co. (Artist and owner, Rebecca Puig)
- Vivoli il Gelato (Owner Silvana Vivoli)
