Parking Restrictions at Walt Disney World for Holiday Season

Due to the extremely busy Holiday Season, a few of the Walt Disney World resorts in the Magic Kingdom area will have some parking restrictions.

  • Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort will be restricted until January 1
  • Disney’s Contemporary Resort will be restricted until January 13

These parking lots will only allow guests who are staying at the resort, those who are attending a conference, or those who have some sort of dining or recreation reservation to park in their gates.

  • These restrictions (at least for the contemporary) would seem to be in place year round. Are you allowed to park there if you were not doing something at/with the contemporary resort?

  • Wow! Thank you all so much! Some of my friends don’t understand Disney, I say too bad for them! Thank you all again!

    Michael!

  • Great…my family is not staying on property, but we do have reservations at Chef Mickey’s on the 27th? Where am I supposed to park?

    • Since you have a dining reservation, they will allow you in. However, your car will have a time limit it can stay parked in the Contemporary’s parking lot.

    • Michael,

I wouldn’t worry too much about it. You have a reservation for Chef Mickey’s –which gives you a reason to be there. Just bring your reservation number with you when you go to park there in case someone questions you. I would arrive at least 45 minutes prior to your reservation to give you adequate time to get into the restaurant. Wish I was there right now –ENJOY!
