PHOTOS: Magic Kingdom TRON Coaster and Front Entrance Construction
Magic Kingdom has two major construction projects in progress right now. At the front entrance a new bag check area and perhaps some enhancements to the bus loop are in progress. You can see the work in progress as you walk to and from Disney’s Contemporary Resort, as well as on board the monorail heading from the Magic Kingdom to the Transportation and Ticket Center. Everything seen from the monorail is hidden behind construction fencing along the Contemporary walkway.

Inside Magic Kingdom, aboard the Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover, and in the back of Storybook Circus, you can see that nearly all of the exterior walls are complete on the building of TRON Lightcycle / Run. This marks the nearing of a major construction milestone in this massive project.

Are you excited for the TRON Lightcyle / Run?
I’m hoping those TRON ride vehicles they have outside of Space Mountain are more of a prototype and not the finished product. While rather neat, they also felt rather cheap at the same time with the flimsy plastic piece that closes over you.
You are not held in your seat by flimsy plastic. This ride has already existed in Shanghai for several years; you are held firmly in place (possibly too firmly, given our modern American dimensions).
