PHOTOS – What’s New at EPCOT: Flower and Garden Festival Preparation, *NSYNC Legacy Tiles, and Italy’s Gelato Shop Progress
We get excited anytime there’s new stuff to explore at Walt Disney World. At EPCOT yesterday there was a good amount of new developments. Let’s take a look at the awesome photos captured by Chrissy on our team.
First we’ll start with Leave a Legacy. I know we’ve been talking about Leave a Legacy for three days now, but bear with us. I had searched the location of the *NSYNC band member’s tiles, and I am sure I wasn’t alone in doing so. And with the location information in hand Chrissy went to go scope it out. It’s interesting that the tiles went from being in a column to now being in a row. And the quality of the new tiles compared to the old is pretty fantastic.
Once inside Future World guests are now treated to two festivals at the same time. Preparations for Flower and Garden Festival are well underway. A prehistoric style garden has been unearthed at Future World East. Over at Future World West the butterfly garden is being set up near the Imagination Pavilion. On the edge of Future World the Mickey Mouse floral icons are near completion.
Over at World Showcase the construction of the upcoming gelato shop at the Italy Pavilion is shaping up. No word on an opening date just yet. Speaking of unknown opening dates, we’re still waiting on Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. Chrissy took a ride on the Skyliner hoping there might be markings in the queue area, which would be a good sign of opening soon, but alas no luck.
Finally, here’s a lovely look at Leave a Legacy at dusk.
