Sequoia Sculptures at The Art of Disney Come With a Hefty Price Tag

If you want an heirloom splurge on Disney art, head over to the Art of Disney store at Epcot.

The rough-hewn wood box container states that this collection of wooden sculptures is crafted from the remains of an “ancient Giant Sequoia Redwood tree, which sprouted from a seed … nearly 2,500 years ago.” These artworks are priced at $1,200 each. We saw Mickey, Dumbo, Jiminy Cricket, and Pinocchio versions, though there may be others as well.

The story behind this art is interesting, (and I find the concept of a Pinocchio made of wood amusing) but is it $1,200 worth of interesting? What do you think?
