Special Star Wars Merchandise Coming to shopDisney on May 4th – Some Items Available Now

The second nerdiest day of the year is almost here. Second only to Pi Day (3/14), Star Wars Day is full of wonderful nerdiness. May 4, calls for everyone and their cousin to say “May the 4th Be With You” all day long. It’s cute for about two minutes, and then you’ll feel like you’re stuck in a Sarlaac, being digested over the course of 1,000 years.

On May 4, 2020 at 7:00 a.m. Pacific Time, shopDisney will release a collection of special Star Wars merchandise. Not all of the items are available to preview right now, but we wanted to give you a heads up so you can set your R2-D2 alarm clock and be ready.

Some of the items available to preview on shopDisney include May the 4th Be With You pins and apparel, as well as mugs celebrating the 40th anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back, and a special Star Wars Disney key. I remember when these keys were exclusive to Disney Store, and were free – one given away each day to a family who may have arrived at the store first thing in the morning and could help “unlock” the store for the day. Now, Disney has created new designs and is selling them online.

  • Hey, Len! Can you get Shop Disney in touch with some competent load management techs for their site? Oh, and don’t forget some security folks to stop all the bot buying that goes on their site.

    • Remind me to tell you about trying to order 20 Disney Gift cards on the site. I had to do it as 20 separate transactions.
