The Best Way to Spend $50 at the 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Holidays

Eating everything at the 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Holidays is a serious time commitment and you’ll pay out some major dough. If that’s not on your to-do list, our parks team tasted everything to bring you this budget sampler. Not everything on this list is a cheap pick, but a total of $52.25 and an afternoon at this Disney World Festival will leave your tastebuds happy, your tummy full, and a bit of green still in your wallet.

The Best $52.25 Budget Sampler

Sushi Tree Roll | Shi Wasu Holiday Kitchen – $7.50

This doesn’t usually make our list, but it was just SO beautiful and fresh this year. The spicy mayo was perfect so … welcome to the list, tree! Don’t forget to ask for soy sauce and wasabi packets- they’re behind the counter.

Smoked Salmon Potato Latke | L’Chaim Holiday Kitchen – $6.25

The largest serving of smoked salmon we’ve ever seen at a Disney Festival. Even better? It’s dilly and tasty and who doesn’t love fried potatoes? Straight talk, we almost always include the plain latke from L’Chaim in this list instead because it’s cheaper, but it’s time to be fair – the smoked salmon version deserves its day in the sun. And on your plate.

Toshikoshi Soba | Shi Wasu Holiday Kitchen – $8.50

At the higher end price-wise for this list, but wow! We caught a cold snap on the First day of the Festival, and this warm bowlful was a very welcome snack. The Hot Dashi was glorious as always; we always get excited when we see a soba on the Japan menu.

Cheese Fondue in a Bread Bowl | Bavaria Holiday Kitchen – $8.50

A huge bounty of bread, veg, and glorious cheese. We had three really great-sized potatoes, carrots, and zucchini. The cheese permeates the soft bread and makes for a really lovely, smooshy finish that will leave you full for a while. If you eat the whole thing, you’d better not be headed for a dining package reservation in the near future.

Peanut Stew | Refreshment Outpost – $5.25

It’ll for sure leave your mouth on fire but in a good way. We are spice wimps, but every year we stand in front of this booth fanning our mouths and going back for more. If you like peanut sauce in any form, this will be a huge hit. And it’s a huge bowl to boot!

Pork Schnitzel | Bavaria Holiday Kitchen – $6.75

Only 25¢ more than last year, but it’s the exact same feast. The mushroom sauce is deeper somehow this year, and we approve! If you share you will probably find yourself fighting over the red cabbage as the bit of twang is very nice against the pork. Perfection.

Turkey Poutine | Refreshment Port – $9.50

Thanksgiving dinner on fries! All of the wonderful, familiar flavors and plenty to share. In fact, you probably should share. Did we say probably? We mean definitely, if you want to have space for anything else.

Honorable Mention

Hazelnut Linzer Cookie | Bavaria Holiday Kitchen – $3.25

The other dishes were so yummy that we couldn’t leave them off, but they also didn’t leave room for dessert. If you like to finish with a sweet treat, you can “downgrade” to the plain potato latke for $4.75 and get the last dish at Bavaria Holiday Kitchen while adding only $1.50 to your total. This is our favorite-est cookie of the stroll every year, and you’ll often find us sporting the powdered sugar on our clothes to prove it.

What are your top picks from this year’s Festival? Which dishes that cost more do you think are really worth it? Let us know in the comments!
