How Crowded Was Universal Orlando Last Week?

Last week wait times were so close to what the Universal Crowd Calendar predicted it is hard to discern the two lines on our graph. Only Sunday and Tuesday had resort-wide crowd levels that differed from what we predicted and they only missed the mark by one level.

Islands of Adventure was less crowded than the Universal Crowd Calendar predicted for last Sunday. Dragon Challenge averaged 12 minutes and Flight of the Hippogriff averaged 24. Crowds at Universal were slightly larger with averages like 44 minutes at the Simpsons Ride.

Monday’s crowds were small at both Universal parks. Guests who visited saw average wait times like 14 minutes at Men In Black and 20 minutes at The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man.

Tuesday’s wait times were even lower at Islands of Adventure than what we saw the two days prior. Meanwhile, at Universal Studios we saw wait times within a few minutes of what the Universal Crowd Calendar predicted.

More manageable crowds on Wednesday with both parks at crowd levels well below average. That means 13 minutes at Transformers: The Ride-3D and 20 minutes at Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.

Universal Studios wait times slid upwards slightly on Friday with averages like 45 minutes at Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem and 27 minutes at Transformers: The Ride-3D.

Saturday was the busiest day of the week at Universal Studios but Islands of Adventure had much lower wait times, relatively speaking. Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit averaged 82 minutes while Dragon Challenge averaged only 15.

What to Expect This Week
February 7 to 13, 2016

Peak February crowds will arrive at Universal once we reach President’s Day on February 15. Until then we expect crowds to be moderate at both Universal parks. Enjoy!
