Updates and Upgrades at Disneyland Resort Hotels in 2025 and Beyond

The hotels at Disneyland Resort will be more exciting than ever, as Disney has announced a slate of plus-it-up plans that guests will begin to experience this year. All three hotels will see improvements from new Concierge spaces to new room decor.

New Updates at The Grand Californian Hotel & Spa

First up, changes to the hotel’s flagship Napa Rose restaurant. The interior is getting a makeover, with a new design that “celebrates Craftsman design with an eye toward modern Californian luxury and approachability.” Look for nods to California’s wine-making history and industry, such as a color scheme inspired by the red and white tones of different vintages and a chandelier inspired by California’s Mission grapevines. The update will expand the counters that allow viewing of the restaurant’s exhibition kitchen, and add more seating and two new fireplaces to the patio space outside.

Napa Rose will close to support these updates this spring, and is slated to reopen in fall 2025. On reopening, it will introduce a new menu – but don’t worry, fan favorites will remain, along with the extensive wine collection. Keep an eye on the Disneyland website for announcements about changes at other Grand Californian dining locations to accommodate the temporary absence of Napa Rose.

Elsewhere in the hotel, a newly-designed two-story club-level lounge will be added near to the existing Veranda concierge lounge. The new lounge will be inspired by giant sequoias and create an “aviary” in the “treetops” of the 5th and 6th floors. Lounge with a book or people-watch the hotel’s Great Hall lobby as you “nest” in this hospitable new space. Look for columns and arches to continue the Craftsman theme of the existing lobby architecture, with wrought iron branching details, a two-story stained-glass door, and a curved staircase leading to the mezzanine. This new, as-yet-unnamed lounge is anticipated in 2026.

Last but not least, the Grand Californian will begin a refresh and reimagining of the hotel’s guest rooms. These updates, which include the Disney Vacation Club Villas, will add new colors, upholstery, and bedding with accents “inspired by the beautiful California wildflower blooms often found in Impressionistic plein air paintings that helped define the art movement of the Arts and Crafts period and continue to inspire artists today.” Each room will feature new artwork that has been commissioned from current local plein air painters.

New Updates at the Disneyland Hotel

The Disneyland Hotel is also getting updates to its club-level spaces. In summer 2025, an all-new concierge lounge will join the hotel. The High Key Club celebrates the music and sounds of Disneyland Park in its opening era. Look for mid-century modern decor and a custom soundtrack highlighting the artists and unique instruments that created the “audible magic” of the park’s early years. The new space will nearly double the area of the previous club-level lounge, and will include fireworks viewing on nights when it’s scheduled in the park.

New Suites at the Pixar Place Hotel

Beginning this summer, guests at the Pixar Place Hotel can stay in one of two new, two-bedroom premium suites. These suites are one-of-a-kind in the hotel, taking their inspiration from the Pixar films Coco and The Incredibles.

The Coco Suite will feature Oaxacan-style architecture. Look for terracotta tiling, quilted and woven pieces by Mexican artisans, and more decor that evokes the film’s Rivera family hacienda.

In The Incredibles Suite, you’ll find mid-century design that Disney says has a “spy-fi” twist. You may recall that Winston Deavor lent his home – with its very unique features – to the Parr family. As the backstory goes, he has now stepped up to design a custom getaway space for them. There’s a bedroom for the Parr parents, with a connecting room for Edna Mode that she designed herself. And that’s just the beginning of the Super-inspired features and special effects that will bring home an incredible experience for guests.
