What to See and Do at Pixar Fest 2024 at Disneyland
A celebration of all things Pixar is taking place in both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure now through August 4, 2024. Pixar Fest brings a new parade, fireworks, characters, themed food and colorful decorations. In this post we’ll take a look at everything this seasonal celebration has to offer.
“Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” Parade
A new parade premiered in Disney California Adventure as part of Pixar Fest. “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” parade features Pixar characters, a catchy new song, dancers, and some nice floats from Turning Red, Luca, Soul and more. See our previous post for a full review of the parade.
Pixar Pals Playtime Party
Disneyland’s Fantasyland Theater is home to Pixar Pals Playtime Party. Here visitors of all ages can partake in photo ops, crafts, and a periodic dance party with Pixar characters.
Here’s a fun photo op where you can take a picture with the Piston Cup from Cars.
The van from Onward is also at Pixar Pals Playtime Party. Barley and Ian also make appearances here.
Pixar Pals Playtime Party runs 11:30 AM to 5:30 PM daily so stop by whenever you have some free time on your touring plan.

Club Pixar
Club Pixar in Disney California Adventure offers photo ops during the day and a dance party at night. There’s also two dining locations offering snacks and adult beverages to partake in.
Here’s a fun drive-in theater themed seating area in Club Pixar.
The faux neon lights make this area really shine at night, but they don’t look bad during the day either.
Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular returns to Disneyland during Pixar Fest. The show runs the full gamut of special effects: a rousing score (made up completely of music from Pixar’s films), spectacular firework effects, castle lighting, lasers, and an impressive flight from Buzz Lightyear and the balloon house from Up.
Pixar Fest Decorations
Disneyland, Disney California Adventure and Downtown Disney are packed with colorful Pixar Fest decorations. Here’s a fun photo op in Downtown Disney with Woody and Buzz Lightyear as Cars characters.
These rainbow buntings are located on the lampposts on both Buena Vista Street in DCA and Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland.
Hidden around both parks are 50 Pizza Planet Trucks. They’re themed to their environment, so this one on Buena Vista Street has flowers in the back, while the truck in Adventureland Treehouse looks like an accordion, and the truck in Trolley Treats looks like it’s made out of candy. It’s fun to walk around and discover them.
The largest and most hard to miss of the Pixar Fest decorations is in the esplanade between Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.
A large Pixar Fest decoration is also in Town Square in Main Street, U.S.A.
Here’s a similar one in Buena Vista Street.
Speaking of decorations, these streamers were also in the esplanade, but they were taken down after only a couple of hours. It’s unknown if they’ll come back.
Pixar Fest Food
There’s way too much food to cover in this humble blog post. But we did try the Eye Scream Cone (get it?) from Gibson Girl in Disneyland. It included a delicious scoop of pistachio ice cream dipped in green chocolate. Many of the other Pixar Fest food items are themed in a similar way.
Popcorn fans will want to get this Pizza Planet truck popcorn bucket. $27.79 gets you the bucket itself and some popcorn. These are available in multiple around Disneyland Resort. We saw this one in near the hub in Disneyland.
Pixar Fest Merch
A plethora of brightly colored merch featuring the Pixar Fest logo and stylized Pixar characters is available in just about every shop in both parks.
