Yum! Marceline Market and Mickey and Friends Festival of Foods Announced for the Disney Wish
If you don’t gain 15 pounds on a Disney Cruise, did you even cruise? Well, Disney is certainly going to make it easy for you to enjoy a plethora of dining with the upcoming Disney Wish. There will be two fantastic casual walk-up locations with a number of dining options available.
First up will be Marceline Market, which is named for Walt Disney’s early childhood hometown in Missouri. Marceline Market will be a stylish food hall that is inspired by popular marketplaces around the world. Here, Guests will find a menu of specialized offerings in a free flow setting with both indoor and outdoor seating and breathtaking ocean views.
Guests will be able to choose from 10 food stalls and they will find a café-style beverage bar in the center. Marceline Market will look like an old industrial loft converted into a bustling marketplace. Of course, it’s a Disney ship, so the local proprietors are Disney characters themselves. Yep, each station will be themed around animated films such as Tangled, Ratatouille, Alice in Wonderland, Zootopia, and more. Each of the 10 stalls will feature a wide-ranging variety of freshly prepared cuisines, including American classics, international specialties, comfort foods, seafood, soups and salads, vegetarian and plant-based fare, baked goods, and desserts.
Marceline Market will offer a casual, walk-around dining experience for breakfast and lunch, followed by table-service dining at dinnertime with entrees cooked to order. (Similar to how Cabanas works on the other Disney Cruise Line ships.
Need an even quicker dining experience? Stop by the Mickey and Friends Festival of Foods section that will be found right in the middle of the upper decks. Mickey and Friends Festival of Foods will be the perfect place to grab a quick bite for lunch, dinner or anytime in between. Guests will find Disney Cruise Line’s signature soft-serve ice cream, but there will also be two new options that are a first – barbeque and Mexican-inspired fare.
This open-air eatery will include five uniquely themed food stalls: Mickey’s Smokestack Barbecue, Donald’s Cantina, Daisy’s Pizza Pies, Goofy’s Grill and Sweet Minnie’s Ice Cream.
The whimsical design is inspired by the seaside boardwalk setting that can be found in the newer Mickey Mouse animated shorts. Guests will find a sizable, shaded seating area which will provide a comfortable place to relax and enjoy meals.
