Tudor Place

Description And Comments

This large house was built in 1816 and remains today as it was when it was lived in and the 5 ½ acre garden still contains many trees and shrubs cultivated by the original owners. While it is still unknown why the owners referred to their neoclassical mansion as “Tudor Place” the name stuck. Tudor Place is open from February through December, Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and Sunday from noon to 4:00 pm. A guided tour is available and is $10 for adults, although a self-guided, garden only tour is available (with map) for $3. Admission is half price in February.
