This is a wheelchair-accessible room. No one in my party used a wheelchair, but I've included all the accessibility details we noticed. The door swings open by itself after a gentle push, and will only close on its own after about 10 seconds. Inside, there's a button that will open the door, or you can pull the handle and it will swing open on its own. When leaving, you'll have to stand and wait for a bit if you want to make sure the door closes. Unlike other DVC Studios in Beach Club, the sink area is not separated from the shower and toilet. Instead, one door leads into a larger bathroom space that contains everything. The shower has two removable showerheads at different heights. The shower curtain hangs in such a way that water drips off of it and onto the floor, so you may need an extra towel outside of the shower to make sure you don't create a puddle. The room is very convenient to the elevator, which is nice. However, there was a fair amount of noise from people passing by on the way to the elevator. We also heard the "whoosh" of the elevator machinery in the walls -- it wasn't particularly loud, but it could be a problem for anyone bothered by repetitive noises.
