MNSSHP and MVMCPMickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party are two of the most fun events that the Magic Kingdom holds each year! They both have fun parades, special fireworks, great “free” treats, lots of meet and greets, and much more!

For Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, the event will be held on select nights from September until November; the first party starts later than it did last year; the kick-off date is September 15 and parties will take place up until November 1. Overall, there will be 25 parties total to celebrate the spooky season. Dates for the 2015 season are:

  • September: 15, 18, 20, 22, 25, 27
  • October: 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 12, 13, 15, 16, 18, 20, 22, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31
  • November: 1

Those wanting to attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will be able to do so on select evenings in November and December, with 20 parties that are designed to help get Guests in the Holiday spirit! There will be a quick turn around from celebrating Halloween; the holiday parties start on November 8 and the last party will be held on December 18. Dates are:

  • November: 8, 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20, 29

I don’t understand. If MNSSHP doesn’t start until September 15, why are there dates earlier in the month that MK closes at 7pm?

Night of Joy events: hard-ticket parties featuring Christian music youth groups. A visit to Disney’s official calendar website answers the question.

I am still confused. Night of Joy is scheduled for Sept. 11 and 12, but MK closes at 7pm on Monday, Sept. 7. Is 7pm a regular closing time for this time of year? Also, on the Disney calendar there are no fireworks showing on September 7…

If I had to take a guess, I would suspect they maybe toyed with having a party on September 7…but have since changed their minds. (Given that last year, MNSSHP started on September 1 last year.)

It’s Walt Disney World’s general information number.
It’s your turn to take the initiative, Julianne.

Appears that Disney decided to change their dates. The post has been updated to add a the party for December 1 and removed the party being held on December 14.

I was wondering that myself. Last year the post ranking the parties by crowd level was really helpful.

Yes, there will be a “best days” post again this year. Generally we have that ready around the time that tickets go on sale.

When you say tickets go on sale in April, do you mean for both MNSSHP & MVMCP, or just for MVMCP? It’s a bit ambiguous.
