Disney Teases New Holiday Drone Show for Disney Springs

That was quick! Less than a week after getting approval by the FAA for a nighttime drone show, Disney has teased that an all new nighttime holiday spectacular that’s slated to take place at Disney Springs this year.

While details are still very minimal, the idea of “wishing upon a star” will take on an even more magical meaning with this new nighttime experience.

Take a look at the preview of what Guests will be able to expect:

Disney has been awaiting clearance by the FAA to allow for a drone show for a while now, so I suspect that whatever this ends up being will be just the tip of the iceberg of what’s to come in the future.

I expect we’ll learn much more information about this new spectacular very soon, as the holiday events start officially at Disney Springs beginning next week. I would suspect that as long as all goes well, we’ll see this new show debut by mid to late November. Stay tuned to the blog for more details!

  • You have tests today?

  • Would rather see drones used in the parks, but I suspect Disney is looking for something new to attract guests to the fading Disney Springs.

    • Disney Springs was jumping when I was there on September 30th… but that was a Friday, so maybe it’s the weekend locals effect?
