Hard to believe we’re already talking about fall, but here we are. And at Disneyland Resort we are just a few short months from the start of the Halloween Time festivities. The spooktacular events will take place through October 31 and will feature many of the great new options that were introduced last year during this limited-time seasonal celebration that special attraction overlays, themed décor, seasonal treats and merchandise, plus spooky encounters with favorite characters.

Over at Disney California Adventure, The Nightmare Before Christmas‘ Oogie Boogie will once again take over the park with Halloween decor along Buena Vista Street and a swarm of bats over at Carthay Circle Theatre. Oh and yes, the Headless Horseman will be back once again at the end near Carthy Circle.

One of the best parts of the decor during the Halloween season actually ended being Cars Land’s Haul-O-Ween, where Radiator Springs turned into Radiator Screams! During the season, Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree transforms into Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree while Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters changes into Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween.

Also getting in on the Halloween fun will be Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! in Hollywood Land. This attraction will transform nightly into Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark. For those who don’t know what this Halloween-themed attraction is about, as the sun sets, the story is that the Guardians have successfully escaped The Collector’s Fortress, but have accidentally left Groot behind. Guests will help Rocket distract the creatures that have been released so he can find and rescue Groot.

Moving over to Disneyland, the Pumpkin Festival will greet guests as they make their way down Main Street, U.S.A. Over in Frontierland, Guests will encounter the colorful Día de los Muertos exhibit that commemorates the Mexican holiday of Day of the Dead with a musical trio of iconic skeleton figurines, brightly colored flowers and other decorative items. In addition, Halloween fan-favorite attraction overlays will return for both Haunted Mansion Holiday and Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy.

For those who want a little extra fun, they consider attending one of the 15 nights of Mickey’s Halloween Party. This hard ticket, after hours event provides exclusive entertainment, Disney characters in their Halloween attire and trick-or-treating throughout Disneyland! Party nights are September 19, 21, 24, 26, 28, October 2, 5, 9, 12, 16, 19, 23, 26, 29, and 31.

Tickets go on sale for all Guests on June 12. (They go on sale on June 5 for Disneyland Resort Annual Passholders, Disney Rewards Visa card holders and Disney Vacation Club members.
