Today, the Disney Parks Blog was discussing the new changes at Disneyland Paris’ Pirates of the Caribbean, but they also shared a tiny tidbit of information about the status of one particular scene at both U.S. versions of the attraction.
The famous auction scene will be seeing an update. Currently, the scene showcases the auctioneer pirate who is attempting to auction off a bride, however soon all that will be changing. Instead, Guests will see the redhead touting a gun, as she has joined the pirates ranks. In addition, now the townspeople will be seen unloading valuables and auctioning those off instead.
Both the Magic Kingdom and Disneyland‘s versions will be going under the knife to receive this particular change. While no date has officially been announced for when these changes will actually be occurring, Disney did mention in the article that the updates would be done during scheduled refurbishments that are set to take place in 2018.
