If Disney runs the promotion, it’s typically announced in the summer for fall travel.

A good idea for inexpensive meals, you can leave the parks for lunch. Just plan for at least a 2-2.5 hour out of park time. Earl of Sandwich at DTD has amazing food and it is fairly priced. You can buy a sandwich and a drink for under $10, and you can use Disney transportation to get there and back to the parks.
