Magic Kingdom in Liberty Square

Turkey, prime rib, pork roast, mashed potatoes, vegetables, mac and cheese, clam chowder, toffee pudding

Always a solid standby for families in search of classic American fare, the tavern serves up quality food with good service at a quick pace – a luxury in Magic Kingdom. Very popular for both lunch and dinner, reservations are sometimes hard to come by, but worth the effort to score: even with new additions to Magic Kingdom dining, Liberty Tree Tavern still ranks as one of the top meals you can enjoy inside this park. Because of its location, dead-center in the parade route, a late lunch can be timed to end just as Festival of Fantasy passes by.

REVIEW – Liberty Tree Tavern Continues Its Magic Kingdom Legacy

Setting and Atmosphere

With individual rooms themed to historical figures in United States history (Betsy Ross, Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, John Paul Jones, and George and Martha Washington), Liberty Tree Tavern feels like a quaint and cozy Colonial home nestled in a sprawling theme park. Appropriately-creaky wood staircases flank the central lobby, which can be quite busy during popular meal times.

House Specialties

Most guests come (and return) to Liberty Tree for the All-You-Care-To-Enjoy Patriot's Platter, with roasted turkey, prime rib, pork roast, mashed potatoes, stuffing, seasonal vegetables, and mac and cheese, recently updated to be made entirely in-house (and much tastier, as a result). For those looking for something slightly smaller at lunch, stick to the New England clam chowder, Colony Salad with seared salmon, and the Ooey Gooey Toffee Pudding (worth the stop alone).

Other Recommendations

The lunch menu is fairly compact, but several options are worth consideration: Freedom Pasta packed with fresh vegetables and served with grilled chicken or shrimp is easy to share, even for two adults, and the Crab & Lobster dip makes for a filling savory starter.
