The Art of Animation resort at Walt Disney World is one of Disney's newer resorts, opening in 2012. Since opening, the guest rooms have been outfitted with updated bedding, but are otherwise substantially the same as at opening.
During 2017-2019, outdoor areas of the resort will see activity related to the construction of the new Skyliner overhead gondola transportation system. Guests may experience construction noise during this time. Construction will not take place between dusk and 9:00 a.m.
