Walt Disney World is now using "Park Reservations" made via its Park Pass System to limit access to its theme parks.

Beginning in July 2020, in order to enter a Walt Disney World theme park, guests must make a park reservation in advance. Park Reservations are required in addition to a valid theme park entry ticket. To enter a Walt Disney World theme park, you need BOTH an admission ticket and a Park Reservation.

You must have a valid theme park admission ticket prior to making a Park Reservation.

In accordance with COVID-19 theme park capacity restrictions, the Park Reservation system allows Disney to control the number of guests allowed into each park, each day.

Varying levels of availability are allotted to Annual Pass holders, guests of the Disney resort hotels, and regular theme park day guests. You can check availability for any day and group by visiting the Walt Disney World Theme Park Reservation Availability page.

To check Park Reservation availability, click on the link above.

You will see a screen that looks like this:

Again, Park Reservations are limited. Some parks may have minimal or no availability on specific dates, depending on which type of guest requesting a reservation (Resort Hotel Guests, Annual Passholders, or others with tickets). Before buying theme park tickets, please check to see that your desired date and theme park is available. Given the limited availability of park reservations, we recommended that you make your theme park reservations as soon as possible after purchasing your admission.

Once you've purchased an admission ticket and checked availability, you can make Park Reservations on the My Disney Experience tab on the Disney World website. (Before you start, you should confirm that you park tickets are linked to your My Disney Experience account.)

From there, click on "Make A Park Reservation."

Create your Park Reservation party by clicking on the friends and family who will be joining you at the park. (Everyone must have a park ticket.) Then click "Continue."

Select a date and a theme park.

To complete your Park Reservation, click to agree to the Terms and Conditions, then click "Continue."

You must repeat this process for every day that you want to obtain a Park Reservation.

You are welcome to tinker with your Park Reservations, changing reservation dates up to and throughout your visit. However, you should be sure to check availability at your desired park before you cancel any existing Park Reservation selections.

Making Park Reservations is somewhat easier on a computer, but you can also now make selections via the My Disney Experience app on your smartphone or tablet. Check our blog post for details.

Guests with Park Hopper enabled tickets will be able to hop to a second theme park after 2:00 p.m., pending availability. In order to Park Hop, you must have made AND USED a Park Reservation at a Walt Disney World theme park earlier in the day.
