How Can I Contribute to the Unofficial Guide/TouringPlans.com?

Writing travel books is not nearly as glamorous as it sounds, including doing research for Walt Disney World. For a research-oriented publication like the Guide, you're much more likely to ride the bus for days on end than to ride attractions. Most entry-level positions are as unpaid volunteers.

TouringPlans.com has no paid positions available at this time. We posts jobs to our blog when they open.

Good candidates for volunteer spots generally have experience in either the travel and hospitality fields, operations research/statistics, or engineering. Professional writing experience isn't necessary, but a willingness to spend two hours tracking down some obscure fact about pillows is.

Please be aware that you may be required to sign a non-disclosure or non-compete agreement as part of your task.

Volunteers are expected to provide their own park admission and need a smart phone which can run the Lines app. Food expenses and TouringPlans.com subscriptions are provided.

If you're local to the Orlando area, email MCOVolunteers@TouringPlans.com to be added to our list of potential researchers.

Southern California volunteers email SoCalVolunteers@TouringPlans.com.

Non-local volunteers assist with fact-checking for our publications. We post to our blog when we are looking for fact-checkers and give preference to those who have worked for us before.

We have a full roster of bloggers at this time. If you have an idea for an article, email blog@touringplans.com. The focus of our site is fact-based research of the parks. We do not compensate for unsolicited content.
