Grilled hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken, ribeye steaks, and ribs. There’s usually also a grilled fish, such as mahi mahi, and veggie burgers available. Sides include corn on the cob, coleslaw, various salads, fruit and similar picnic food, plus cookies and soft serve ice cream for dessert.
Summary
Most of the food is on par with what you’d find at a typical picnic. Hamburgers and hot dogs are the safest bets. The ribs are hit-or-miss, and the chicken is usually on the dry side. If you’re willing to wait, however, the staff are usually willing to cook something fresh – right in front of you! – to your desired doneness.
Serenity Bay BBQ offers a small set of covered tables for dining, and it’s usually enough for even the largest crowds at this far end of the island. The food tastes better if you’ve made the walk (instead of taking two trams) all the way here. Also note that birds seem to be more present here, begging for food, than at the Cookies restaurants near the family beaches. They’re not a nuisance, but they are present.
