Eat to the Beat Dining Package: Spice Road Table

Are you planning to attend one of the EPCOT Food & Wine Eat to the Beat concerts this year? If you’re going to have a meal in EPCOT the day of the concert, you can also secure excellent seats to your show with your meal. The Eat to the Beat Dining Package operates just like the other dining packages for other EPCOT Festival concerts and the Candlelight Processional during Festival of the Holidays. Most restaurants include an entree, dessert, and drink, along with guaranteed seating for the concert. But Spice Road Table’s menu is small plates, so it’s a little different. We dropped in to see what you can get with this Dining Package.

The Reservation

If this is your first time buying this package, there are a few things to know. In our experience, the easiest way to find the show time you’re after is to search “EPCOT Food & Wine Dining Packages” on MDE and then select “Reserve Dining.” Next, select the number of people in your party. It’s important that everyone planning to sit together in the reserved spaces attends the Dining Package meal. It’s not a good idea to have one person pay for the package and plan to hold seats. We’ve seen more than a few quarrels on the benches over this type of thing. Nobody wants to be ejected from the front row just before Boys II Men take the stage.

After you’ve selected your party size, you’ll pick a date, and select which of the three daily shows you plan to attend. It’s best to be flexible here if you can, since dining location availability changes depending on the time. From there, you’ll complete the reservation.

We selected Spice Road Table for our Dining Package, which is $56 per adult and $21 per child, plus tax and tip. On the Disney Dining Plan, the meal is one Table Service credit. The Meal

The Spice Road Table Dining Package is listed as: “2 small plates, a shared dessert platter and a nonalcoholic or alcoholic beverage”. Here is everything we got for 2 adults.

House-made Hummus Fries
Citrus-Chipotle and Preserved Lemon (Plant-based)

Lemon-Vegetable Tagine
Olives, Preserved Lemon, Fragrant Couscous

Spiced Lamb Kefta
Harissa Yogurt, Mint Chutney, Toasted Pistachios, Preserved Lemon

Chicken Bastilla
Braised Chicken, Crisp Filo Dough, Almonds, Aleppo Honey

Naan Spreads
Hummus, Chermoula, Marinated Olives, Za’atar

Dessert Platter
Assorted Moroccan Pastries

We decided to have two sodas with our meal, but could have ordered cocktails for no additional money. The service was fast and the food was as good as always. The Lemon Tagine was an included, shared appetizer that is not listed on Disney’s website for this Eat to the Beat location. There are no other appetizer options, but it was delicious and a surprise, so it’s a win. (Note: The tagine has been listed as part of the dining package at previous Festivals, so it’s not clear whether it’s an incorrect listing on Disney’s page, or a change that the restaurant hasn’t caught up with yet.)

Shameless plug time – if you’re trying to decide on a restaurant in EPCOT, you can check ratings and rankings of every Walt Disney World dining location on our website or Lines app. For free! Spice Road Table is currently enjoying a 90% Above Average rating and is ranked #36 of 93 table service dining locations in WDW with our readers. Many thanks to the thousands of TouringPlans Subscribers (Liners) who submit trip surveys each year. Our top picks from dinner were the Hummus Fries and Spiced Lamb Kefta but there wasn’t a bad bite on the table.

The Concert

When you’ve settled your bill, you’ll receive one Eat to the Beat sticker per person, like the ones shown above. The stickers will have your show time and date on the front. You don’t need to stick these to your clothing, and it may not be a great idea to do so. It’s safer to have a responsible person in your party hang on to them until it’s time to line up for the show. You’ll need to show the tickets to a Cast Member manning the guaranteed seating entrance.

All Eat to the Beat concerts are held at America Gardens Theatre in the American Adventure pavilion. If you’re facing the stage, Dining Package guests line up on the left, and standby guests without guaranteed seats line up to the right of the theater.
