Is Coral Reef Getting Rid of Lunch Service?

An observant TouringPlans blog reader noted that Coral Reef Restaurant in EPCOT appears to be getting rid of lunch service.

Current Coral Reef Hours:

  • Lunch – 11:30 am – 3:30 pm
  • Dinner- 3:45 pm – 8:30 pm

Based on our search of the My Disney Experience App today, there are lunch hours through Saturday, January 3, 2026. Starting Sunday, January 4, 2026, only dinner reservations appear. The new dinner hours have also changed.

January 4, 2026 Coral Reef Hours:

  • Dinner- 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm

TouringPlans subscribers have long ranked Coral Reef at the bottom of table service locations in Walt Disney World.

Coral Reef survey data from the TouringPlans Lines App.

Coral Reef is currently ranked #76 of 89 table service locations in WDW with an 84%, Much Below Average, rating. This isn’t a clear rebuke of this location, at least from TouringPlans subscribers who also fill out our trip surveys. Here are a few comments from some of our readers:

  • 2/23/24 , lunch review, “Enjoyed the view and the food and service were also great.”
  • 4/24/24, dinner review, “Cool vibe inside, food was good, staff was excellent – could have a wider menu selection.”
  • 6/12/24, lunch review, “Atmosphere is good, but menu is limited.”
  • 9/24/24, dinner review, “Not a lot of menu choices but the quality of food was very high and the view of the huge aquarium while dining was a nice touch.”
  • 7/14/25, lunch review, “Service was great, and our toddler loved watching the animals in the tank! We requested a seat next to the tank and were willing to wait but they happily accommodated! It was only one of the few experiences that our toddler enjoyed.”
  • 10/17/25, dinner review, “My kids love this place. They sat us right down by the tank. The food was good and the service was amazing.”

While Coral Reef isn’t our first pick in EPCOT for any meal, we have to agree with the survey submissions in that the view and service here are always great.

What do you think about Coral Reef? Do you like this location even if you’re seated at the back wall and not next to the aquarium? Let us know if you want to see survey comments from other dining locations in Walt Disney World?

According to our waiter this afternoon he’s being displaced in January due to the change. He’s been at the venue 20 years and doesn’t yet know where he’ll he placed.
