Sir Henry’s Haunted Trail – A Frighteningly Good Time!
Last month we got to experience Sir Henry’s Haunted Trail down in Plant City, FL. While Plant City is a bit of a hike from the Orlando theme parks, it’s well worth it, especially if you’re a fan of haunts like we are! Sir Henry’s uses some similar features to Halloween Horror Nights such as scareactors and themed spaces, but the smaller size and local feel give Sir Henry’s a unique flavor.
During the media event Sir Henry’s had a fun start with a small parade of sorts, kicked off with a ride by the headless horseman. Afterward, many scareactors from the event made their way down the line.
Sir Henry’s is home to three haunted trails, the Legends of Halloween haunted hayride, a Sir Henry’s “Swag” shop, and other experiences such as escape rooms. The three trails this year are Skinwalker’s Hex, Ravensgate Asylum, and City of Slaughter. Super fun, lots of scares (we definitely jumped a lot), and unlike the houses at HHN, they use their own voices.
We’ve been to Sir Henry’s repeatedly over the last several years, and this season’s haunted hayride was definitely the best yet.
You travel through scenes of Halloween, with scareactors attacking riders on all sides, including several who even got onto the wagon itself! There were new animatronics on the hayride which startled us, and a gorgeous pumpkin forest that seemed to glow. Each year the hayride has made improvements and we really can’t wait to see what next year will bring.
There are plenty of photo ops in the area.

Our friends at Central Florida Sights & Sounds did a great video recap of Sir Henry’s which you can watch HERE:
