Times for Interactive (Talking) Mickey Play Test

We got a tip today letting us know when the new interactive, talking Mickey Mouse character will be available for meet-and-greets:

  • Tonight (Wednesday, November 9) at 7:30pm during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party (a hard ticket event).
  • Thursday, November 10, at 10:30am, 11:30am, 12:30pm, and 1:30pm.

We’ve heard that the tests usually consist of no more than 12 parties, and don’t usually last more than 30 minutes. Expect to see Disney surveying people when they exit the experience.

Please note that these times, like all other tests, are subject to change. Also, even if the new Mickey is at the Town Square location at the right time, it’s possible for guests to be routed to an older, non-interactive Mickey.

Update: I got to meet Talking Mickey on Wednesday night. Here is a video of our experience!

  • OMG that is so awesome! And to think I was at Disney World and missed out because I didn’t know about it, and wasn’t at Magic Kingdom on the right day! Next time, I hope.

  • We were so blessed to meet interactive Mickey on Nov. 9 at the Christmas party. We met him sometime during the 10 o’clock hour. It was funny, because we had been talking to some CMs who were in line behind us, and they said they had been through the line several times that night trying to meet Mickey when he wasn’t “saving his voice for shows and parades.” Then when we went into the first holding queue area, they shut the door and the CM at the door read a legal disclosure about Disney using video and photos that might be used for promotional purposes, etc., etc. It seemed like some people had no idea what was about to happen, while others of us were jumping up and down and high-fiving. The interaction was absolutely amazing; when I saw the Disney Parks video I thought something about Mickey’s face looked slightly off, but in person there was no difference at all (or maybe we were just so floored that it didn’t matter). My husband and I have the craziest grins on our faces in the pictures from the interaction – not flattering at all, but oh well 🙂 Our daughter’s video is on You Tube – she is the little girl in braids and the Minnie ears Christmas hat who talks to Mickey about his favorite cheese. Those few minutes were absolutely the highlight of our trip to WDW. I can’t help but think how elated Walt Disney would be to see guests having this interaction with Mickey Mouse.

  • Niiiiice. This looks much better than the D23 Mickey, where the responses sounded automated. He actually says your name! How cool!
