2027 Disney World Disney Dining Plan Guide
This post was updated on October 6, 2026 to reflect price increases on food and beverage. The 2027 Dining Plan prices did not increase, but individual food items, alcoholic, and non-alcoholic beverages did. This makes the 2027 Disney Dining Plan a better value than it was prior to the increases.
More than 86% of TouringPlans Subscribers who purchase the Disney Dining Plan for their Walt Disney World vacation say they’ll purchase it again. That’s a huge satisfaction rating! There is a new Dining Plan for 2027 and our goal is to help you make the right dining choices. So..
This guide will cover the following:

Character Meals That Require 1 Table Service Credit
The “math” on using a Dining Plan Credit for a Character Meal may not balance, but there are other things beyond the cash to think about. Character meals offer a chance to have meaningful 1-1 interaction between your child (or you!) and a favorite character. You’ll be indoors, in air conditioning, and you’ll be fed! Being able to get sweet photos and video of your kid and their bestie also has value. If your child is obsessed with Pooh and Piglet, the $64 plus tax and tip may outweigh the price you paid for your plan. The following Character Meals require 1 Table Service Credit on the Disney Dining Plan:
- 1900 Park Fare Breakfast & Dinner
- Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort
- Buffet
- Characters may include: Aladdin, Cinderella, Mirabel, & Princess Tiana.

Snack Credits!
All 3 of the 2027 Disney Dining Plans come with 1 Snack Credit per person per night of stay. We spend a whole lot of time researching which items in each park qualify as a snack credit. You can check out our most recent blog post on the topic here. In this post, we go into detail about how to identify a DDP Snack Credit item and which ones you should avoid.
If you’re not up for all of the research on our Lines app, a good rule of thumb is that anything under $6.49, the price of a Mickey Ice Cream Bar, is not a good use of a DDP Snack Credit. There are dozens, nay, hundreds of items around the parks that will qualify as 1 Disney Dining Plan Snack Credit that would otherwise cost you more than $6.49 in cash.
EPCOT Food Festival Kitchens
- Nearly every single food item and non-alcoholic beverage on EPCOT Festival menus (Flower & Garden, Food & Wine, Festival of the Arts, Festival of the Holidays) can be purchased using 1 Disney Dining Plan Snack Credit. The usual exceptions are most types of poutine and the funnel cake near the American Adventure!
Party Food
- Party Exclusive dishes ~ hundreds of them! ~ and non-alcoholic drinks at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and Jollywood Nights can be had for 1 Disney Dining Plan Snack Credit each. Some of them, like the spread from our 2025 Jollywood Nights visit in the photo above, are excellent and delicious values! We highlight good DDP values in our party reviews, so check out some of the links below before you go:
Resort Mugs
Every person on the Dining Plan (any of the 3 plans) will receive 1 Resort Refillable Drink Mug. The mugs can be used for nearly unlimited sodas, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate in any Disney Resort. Read our Complete Guide to Resort Mugs here.
How to Use Your Dining Plan Credits on the My Disney Experience App
If you’re vacationing in Walt Disney World, you’ve already got the My Disney Experience (MDE) app. That’s how you’ll schedule and manage your Lightning Lanes, view pictures, Mobile Order food, complete Mobile Shopping Checkout.. everything! You’ll also use MDE to manage the Disney Dining Plan. Here’s how:
Check Dining Plans
You can check your Dining Plan status under “Check Dining Plan” in your Resort page of MDE. Select the icon highlighted above.
See What’s Available & What You’ve Used
Once you’re on the DDP page in the My Disney Experience app, you’ll be able to see how many of each type of dining credit you have available. The image above shows a summary on the left and a Dining Plan History on the right. If you select “View History” on the main page, you’ll see meal and snack details showing when and where each Credit was used.
Mobile Order Using Disney Dining Plan Credits
MDE makes using DDP Credits on Mobile Orders very easy. Open the My Disney Experience app:
- Press the + button at the bottom of your MDE app home screen
- Select “Order Food”
- Every open location with Mobile Order will show on the scrollable menu.
- Select your desired location and item and press “Add to Order” in blue at the bottom of the screen.
- When you’re done selecting your food and drinks, click the blue “View My Order” button.
- MDE will auto-default to using any available DDP Meal or Snack Credits for qualifying items. You can see an example of this in the screenshot above. We selected the Hand-dipped Corn Dog from Sleepy Hollow and because we had enough Quick Service Meal Credits, the default payment moved to DDP. The yellow arrows show 1 Meal which means we were redeeming 1 Meal for that item.
- If you don’t want to use the DDP for a qualifying item, like a $1 side of cheese sauce, you can select “Change Dining Plan Options” in the summary page (see top yellow arrow in the screenshot above) and change your payment method. You can combine card and DDP payments for one order.
- You may cancel your Mobile Order and receive a refund of your credits as long as you don’t press the blue “Im Here, Prepare My Order” button on MDE. If you cancel your order before hitting the “Prepare” button, your Dining Credits will move back to showing available for use.
How to Use Table Service Credits
If your Cast Member server doesn’t ask you upon greeting if you’re on the Disney Dining Plan, be sure to bring it up. This is always the first question they ask as soon as they’ve greeted your party. The Cast Member will guide you through what is included in your plan. For example, when dining at the wonderful Biergarten in the Germany Pavilion, your server will let you know that the entire buffet is included with your 1 Table Service Credit. They will also explain which beverages, including alcohol, are included.
A Few Things to Remember
- Everyone in your party must be under the same reservation and have the same Dining Plan selection. If one person has the Deluxe Plan, everyone is under the Deluxe Plan
- Tips are not included with Table Service Credits except at locations where payment is due at the time of reservation like Cinderella’s Royal Table of the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue.
- We strongly recommend leaving a credit card on file when you check in to your Resort to make tipping easier. You will be presented with a bill at the end of your Table Service Meals that will allow you to leave a tip.
- Tips are also not included with Table Service Credits for Room Service at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.
- Your Disney Dining Plan Credits are ready to use as soon as you check in to your Resort ~ even if your room isn’t ready yet!
- DDP Credits expire at 11:59 PM on the day of check-out.
