Universal Translator – What is The Lost Continent
Situation between Seuss Landing and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade is a land formed around myths and legends of yore. But what is The Lost Continent, why does it have no attractions, and what is in it?

The Lost Continent is an opening-day land at Universal’s Island of Adventure based on legends and myths. At first, the land had three attractions: the Dueling Dragons roller coaster, The Eighth Voyage of Sinbad stunt show, and Poseidon’s Fury walkthrough attraction. Lost Continent has slowly been shrinking since, first losing land and an attraction to Harry Potter, then Sinbad closing in 2017, and finally Poseidon’s Fury closing in 2023. Currently, Lost Continent is home to Mythos, a full-service restaurant, several quick-service stands, and shopping.

Something tells me Lost Continent is going to be lost for good in a year or two, once Universal finalizes something better to do with this area. But while you can, I recommend having some eats at Doc Sugrue’s Kebab House. Interesting menu, shaded seating, and I think a Coke Freestyle machine is nearby. I make it a point to have some lunch there when I am visiting IOA.
Doc Surgue’s is good, and those bathrooms by the old Seven Voyages theater are usually quiet. I agree on this going away sooner than later for something Popular.
