Remy’s Hide and Squeak Scavenger Hunt

Remy’s Ratatouille Hide and Squeak Scavenger Hunt is back at EPCOT’s Food & Wine Festival again this year. This fun family activity can be challenging as an adult, or a great way to keep kids engaged as you head around the World Showcase.

This is the first price increase for EPCOT Festival scavenger hunts in recent memory. Both the Hide & Squeak and Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit jumped from $9.99 +tax to $11.99 +tax.

You may use an Annual Pass discount for either hunt. Game card purchase locations and redemption spots are the same for both, too.

  • Gateway Gifts under Spaceship Earth
  • Creations Shop
  • Disney Traders at the entrance to World Showcase
  • World Traveler at the International Gateway entrance to EPCOT

The point of Remy’s Hide & Squeak is to find 15 Remy figures hidden all around EPCOT. When you see Remy with his matching culinary symbol, place the sticker in the corresponding location. Some of them are obvious from the main World Showcase path, and others are deeper in the pavilions and take a bit of hunting.

This Remy is hidden deep inside the pavilion. Any guesses?
Hint: If you’re headed to this Kidcot location, Remy is close by!

Our favorite thing about the EPCOT Festival scavenger hunts is the prizes. No, we aren’t talking about the stencils Disney called “art stencils” at one Festival and “cocoa stencils” at the next, when both were terrible. It looks like Disney understands, at least with this one area, that they need better prizes if the price is going to increase.

Even more exciting than a bigger prize is the fact that you don’t actually have to find all 15 hidden rodents to collect your prize. You may redeem your game card upon purchase and claim your spoils right away! You can also be better than us and complete the whole hunt before accepting your reward.

The prizes this year include your choice of four character bento boxes with an elastic strap to keep the box closed. The character choices are Mickey, Minnie, Remy, and Donald. They’re light, and not the same quality can buy inside Mitsukoshi in the Japan pavilion, but they’re large and perfect for a hefty snack. When you’re ready to redeem, head to one of the locations with a red star in the map above, and a CM will stamp your game card “Complete.” You’ll then have your pick of bento boxes.

Hide & Squeak runs through the end of Food & Wine on November 22nd. Prize selection is not guaranteed.

What do you think about the price increase vs prize availability for Remy’s Hide & Squeak this year?
