Photo Tour: Marceline Market Breakfast on the New Disney Destiny

I just sailed on my first cruise. Not just my first Disney Cruise, but my first cruise.  How fitting that this new cruiser was aboard the latest vessel in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, the Disney Destiny.  Disclaimer time- this was an unsponsored / non-hosted voyage. All expenses were paid by TouringPlans or out of my own pocket.

One of my favorite things about a vacation is getting to eat out for breakfast- and the Marceline breakfast buffet did not disappoint! For more detailed information on this location, check out our full post here.

Marceline Market is only open for breakfast and lunch. There are 10 counters where you’ll find hot and cold breakfast options.

There are Mickey waffles every day. But one extra special day of the cruise, they offer the very popular Churro Mickey Waffle, for this sailing it was the last full day. You’ll know it’s churro waffle day when you see the line! Just so you know, the churro Mickey waffle can be found at The Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom, too.  At the kids’ corner station, you’ll find plain and churro Mickey waffles, blueberry, chocolate chip, and plain pancakes at Marceline, too. Breakfast service begins at 7:00am but the counters looked full no matter what time we arrived.

Looking for protein on your breakfast plate? There were always a few types of sausage and bacon available as well as corned beef hash and eggs served a few ways.

Marceline Market is a great way to try something you wouldn’t normally order since this buffet is included in your fare. We loved the Eggs Benedict with Chorizo, pictured on the left in the shot above. The Smoked Fish platter on the right was a neat twist on the smoked salmon we’re accustomed to seeing on our local deli menu. This sampler includes smoked trout, caper berries, and a delicious whole grain mustard sauce.

There are drink stations, like the one pictured above, throughout Marceline Market. These stations and the nearby juice machines, pictured below, are self-service. You will need a fresh cup for each refill – just like you’ll need a fresh plate for each trip to any of the food counters.

Our sailing had orange, cranberry, POG (passion fruit, orange, and guava), and apple juices. The self-serve coffee and tea station is just next to the juice dispenser. There were several kinds of sugar and sugar substitutes and honey, too.

A few other notable breakfast choices on our sailing include Miso Congee, and a whole host of smoothie and parfait options. There is a Bircher Musli with banana, flax seed, and dried cranberries that may make you feel a bit better about your trips to the soft serve machine further down Deck 11.

And if you’re looking for an omelette, there are crew members stationed at high top tables. They’ll take your order and your freshley cooked omelette will be delivered to your table.

Do you enjoy the breakfast buffet when cruising? Or are you happier with room service?

  • Great first entry on cruising! I mean even down to the number of stations! Hope we see some more in a series “from the eyes of a first timer!”
