Top Preschool Picks in Hollywood Studios

If you’re headed to Disney World with a pre-school aged child, we’ve got some survey data that might interest you. As you may know, we have a link for Walt Disney World trip surveys on our website. We get thousands of these surveys each year that tell us what our readers and subscribers think about everything from Disney resorts, to dining experiences. We also collect ratings by age group for every single ride, attraction, character meet, and show in all four parks.

The frame above shows a screenshot (left) from the Trip Survey on our website. As you can see, we’ve broken down the respondents into 6 general age categories. There are five possible ratings for each age group for each attraction. Very Dissatisfied represents a rating of “1” – the lowest possible rating. A Very Satisfied is equal to a rating of “5” – the highest possible rating. Each attraction allows for the 6 possible age ranges to have differing views. We understand that most folks over the age of 10 are going to rate Alien Swirling Saucers lower than the younger members of their party. This rating method means our survey is pretty long, but it also helps us gather very specific information.

We use the survey data collected to summarize each attraction in the TouringPlans Lines app. The two images on the right of the frame were taken directly from the Hollywood Studios section of the Lines app. The audience that we’re going to focus on today is the pre-school demographic.

After sorting Hollywood Studios attraction survey results for the last 12 months, there are a few attractions that clearly wow the pre-school kids more than others. In order of total number of completed surveys received, here are the rankings for Top Pre-School Picks in Hollywood Studios:

There were other attractions with a high number of survey responses but lower average ratings. For example, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run has 136 pre-school survey ratings, bur the average rating for this age group is 4.0  – the lowest rating of any age group for this attraction.

Since this age group can be either too vertically challenged or too affected by the “scarier” rides, this list isn’t really a shock.
