10 Things About the Brand New Summer of 2027 Itineraries

Disney Cruise Line announced their summer of 2027 itineraries today, and there are some great ones! Here are some of the highlights for me.

1. The Wish is Going to Europe – Probably the thing I’m most excited about is the Wish in Europe. I’m a fan of the Wish and would love to be on it for longer sailings. European sailings are some of my favorites, so that’s even better! There are some great Greek Isles options, Norway, and lots of Mediterranean to choose from.

2. A Great Transatlantic – The Eastbound Transatlantic for the Wish looks amazing.  It’s 13 nights, and sails on April 25th from Port Canaveral to Barcelona with stops in Portugal, Gibraltar, and Cartagena. This one could be very popular!

3. Drydock for the Wish With the Wish in Europe and no return transatlantic announced yet, it’s a pretty safe bet that the Wish will have its first dry dock at the beginning of the summer. I’m very, very curious to see what changes. Will it just be a refresh? Or will we see actual changes? At the top of my wish list is an upgrade for Hyperspace Lounge! I don’t want it to go away; I just want Disney to improve on it.

4. The Dream is Taking Over Bahamian Itineraries – With the Wish in Europe all summer, the Dream will be taking over the popular 3 and 4-night Bahamian itineraries. It’s fun to change that up! It’s also good news for guests who are not fans of the Wish and will have a chance to try something else.

5. The Fantasy has a 10-Night Southern (Again) – On July 11, 2027, the Fantasy will sail on a 10-night itinerary from Port Canaveral to the Southern Caribbean. It stops in St. Lucia, Antigua, Puerto Rico, St. Maarten, and both Disney Island destinations.  What an amazing itinerary!

6. The Fantasy has Several 5-Night Sailings – 5-Night sailings are about my favorite length. 3 and 4-nights are just too short, and 7 and up are wonderful, but hard to fit in sometimes. 5-nights walks that line in the best way.

7. Two Ships in Alaska Again – I admit, I didn’t know if Disney could fill two ships in Alaska every summer. But apparently they can! The Wonder and Magic will both be back in Alaska in 2027.

8. There’s an 8-Night Alaska on the Magic Another great length for a cruise is an 8-night in Alaska. 9 is even better, but at least with 8-nights you feel like you are getting more for the long travel time there (for most of us).

9. The Treasure is Status Quo – The Treasure will be continuing to sail 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries out of Port Canaveral. Those are never a bad choice.

10. The Destiny is Also Status Quo – The Destiny is also continuing on its current path, and sailing 4, 5, and 7-night itineraries out of Fort Lauderdale. All good options for those wanting to stick closer to Florida.

Are you looking at any sailings? Any highlights for you? Let us know in the comments!

  • The Destiny also has a few longer itineraries as well. One Eastern one that could be a chance to really stretch out the legs a bit in terms of programming and activities.

I hope the Wish gets some upgrades during it’s dry dock. Really make it feel less like a COVID built ship and improve upon hyper space lounge. I don’t necessarily need another Haunted Mansion, but something more than ‘Skyline Lounge’ in space feeling would be great.

    • I do like the longer itineraries on the Destiny! They have a few 7-nighters, and it’s great to have so many options.

Totally agree with your second point!
