Shipping Your Treasures Home Might Be the Best Deal at Disney World
Do you ever see a souvenir you love, but don’t buy it because you can’t get it home? Well, Disney does not want to prevent you from spending money. You can ship your treasure home right from the cash register when you buy it, and I often find it’s less than the USPS. The process is a little different at Disney Springs- I’ll go over each.
Shipping, Country Bear Jamboree, Lincoln Logs

I’m local, so I don’t need to ship anything home (though sometimes, on a long day, it’s tempting). I was on a mission to purchase the Country Bear Jamboree Lincoln Logs for my cousin’s new baby. They live in Cincinnati, so I needed to strategize because the Country Bear Lincoln Logs are not small. In fact, because they are so amazing, 91 pieces, every piece is wood, and it’s in the original metal tin that’s more than a foot high, the set weighs 4.9 pounds and would cost around $35 to ship with USPS, plus the cost of a box and tape.
I have no interest in carrying this set through Magic Kingdom or Disney Springs, and even less in packaging it up and waiting at the Post Office.
Thankfully, Disney World has a fantastic shipping process, it’s easy and very reasonably priced.
Shipping at the Parks!

You can find the Lincoln Logs at Magic Kingdom and World of Disney in Disney Springs. I was at Magic, and we headed over to Big Al’s in Frontierland. You can also find the Lincoln Logs at the Emporium, but I wanted to test smaller shops. Sure enough, they were happy to add shipping to the purchase. You can ship from literally any shop with a permanent roof (so not a bubble–wand cart).
The Shipping Process

The shipping process doesn’t take more than a couple of extra minutes.
- Ask the Cast Member if you can have the item shipped
- Fill out a form while they are ringing up the sale.
- Deliver to- name, address, telephone, email
- From- Your name, address, and phone number
- (If mailing it home for yourself, same information in both sections)
- The cast member will include shipping costs in the transaction
- You get a copy of the shipping form stapled to your receipt.
- The cast member puts the item in a Disney shopping bag and staples the shipping label to it.
- They take care of it, and you go enjoy the rest of your day!
The cast member couldn’t explain how the cost is calculated. In the past, I was told it’s based on the cost of the item being shipped. But we have no current information. FYI – the cost of the gift was $34.99, minus the $7.00 AP discount (not sure if the discount is considered).
Shipping was $19.99 for the 4.9-pound tin of Lincoln Logs, which saved me about $15 and let me avoid the post office!
Most guests will be using this service to ship home their own souvenirs (think light sabers, etc.).
Shipping From Disney Springs

At Disney Springs, prices remain the same, but the process is different. There is one shipping center located between Once Upon a Toy and Tren-D. There isn’t a large sign, but it’s a small space with sundries for sale and a shipping desk.
The shipping service is only available for items purchased from Disney-owned stores. For example, World of Disney, Star Wars Galactic Outpost, or Disney Style, not LEGO or Lululemon.
Simply save your receipt (yes, you can use the MDE app merchandise checkout when you are at Springs) and bring your items to the shipping station. They will take your recipe (or look at your phone) and have you fill out the same form the park uses. After you fill out the form and finish payment, the cast members take care of the rest.
Is there a Downside?
We love this service, and before I was a local, I used it quite a bit. It’s so much easier than trying to figure out how to fit a Pirates of the Caribbean Battleship Game into the luggage.
For this experience, the only downside for me was that I couldn’t take off the price tag. The packing slip and a receipt remain stapled to the bag, and it is shipped that way.
And I have one other note- you can not use the My Disney Experience app’s Merchandise Checkout when shipping from the parks. You will need to get in line (which was another reason to make our purchase at Big Al’s).

Hello
Do they ship internationally as well ?
