Best New Dishes at the 2025 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival
Hopefully you’ve been following our Food & Wine coverage the last few days! We ate and drank it all and have been sharing our picks in several blog posts. (You can find them all here) And today we’re talking about the best new dishes at Food & Wine! Our only criteria for the food making this list are 1) it must be new, and 2) it must be really good. A few of them are on the expensive side, and one doesn’t even qualify for the Disney Dining Plan snack credit.
Flauta de Barbacoa | Mexico – $8.75
The Mexico kitchen is near the top of our “best booth” list for this festival. Not only can you find our 2nd and 9th most favorite drinks of Food & Wine here, but you’ll also be able to purchase this tasty plate. The braised pork was juicy, but the special trio of salsa, crema, and queso fresco made the nearly $9 price tag acceptable. This dish is worth the splurge.
Huckleberry Funnel Cake | Funnel Cake Stand Near The American Adventure – $12.00
We can’t remember the last time a funnel cake made one of our “best of” lists, but this is a good way to start. Heavy, sweet, cherry-flavored buttercream is perfect against the plucky prick of tart huckleberry ice cream. It’s the ideal combo for fall and the funnel cake, the symbol of fairs and carnivals, makes this a fun dish to share. You’ll be in line at this booth for a few minutes since they make every funnel cake upon ordering, but it’s worth the wait and worth the price tag.
Rodizio-style Grilled Beef Skewer | Flavors from Fire – $7.00
It doesn’t get much better than the taste of good Brazilian steakhouse beef. If you’ve ever been to Fogo De Chão, you’ll recognize these flavors. The marbled potatoes, shallots, and baby peppers are smoky and almost sweet. We loved this dish with the Swine Brine, our #4 favorite drink of Food & Wine. The beef was tender, but you might want to grab a knife at the counter to make this stretch for sharing.
Kirschwasser Torte | The Alps – $5.50
Fermented cherries might be a theme with our picks this year. Anyone enamored with the late, great Clarissa Dickson Wright and Jennifer Paterson knows that the best desserts contain this ingredient and some form of cream. So here we are, and for under $6.00, too! The only thing that could make this light, fluffy, heavenly dessert better is not having to share. Buy two.
Korean BBQ Wings | Brew-Wing Lab at The Odyssey – $7.75
We have been heavily influenced by our favorite Korean TikTok content creators over the last year. This is evident when you spy all of the gochujang-flavored noodles and snacks in our kitchen, and peep the number of times Stray Kids (Felix = bias, obviously) come across our feed. If you love the deep chili paste flavor like we do, then these wings are for you. Sweet, a bit of heat, and served indoors with chairs. Win!
