New After Fireworks Dessert Party at the Magic Kingdom
The Magic Kingdom is introducing a brand new dessert party option for those wishing to participate in one revolving around the Happily Ever After fireworks. Now, due to the popularity of the Fireworks Dessert Party, there will be the After Fireworks Dessert Party. This option starts on May 28.
Now you can experience the fireworks from a special viewing area in the Plaza Garden, and then afterwards, head over to Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant and indulge in a delicious array of all-you-care-to-enjoy desserts!
Menu options include treats inspired by each of the lands of the Magic Kingdom. Among the offerings are the S’mores Action Station (Frontierland), Pineapple Delights (Adventureland), Ooey Gooey Toffee Cakes (Liberty Square), Macarons (Fantasyland), a Cookie Table (Tomorrowland), and Strawberry Tarts (Main Street U.S.A.). There will also be savory snacks include cheese cubes, spinach dip with crackers, and house-made mini eggrolls, and fresh fruit. Beverages will include sparkling apple juice, coffee, tea, and milk.
The After Fireworks Dessert Party will cost $69 for adults and $41 for children (ages 3-9).
It’s not an insult to die hard fans. Disney is a publicly traded company and their number one priority is to the shareholder, not the fan. Right not Disney has the luxury of an excess of demand. The reasons prices keep going up is because Disney can afford for them to. They will keep raising prices, doing add-ons, etc. until it is less profitable to do so. Would they rather charge 100 guests $100 ($10,000) or 75 guests $150 ($11,250). Fewer guests means fewer staff. It also means those people have a better time because they are not elbow to elbow waiting in line, but are instead having more experiences and memories. It’s a harsh reality, but it’s the real world.
Well, I was definitely planning on buying tickets for the Dessert Party (original) in December. Now that I see this, I’m not sure. I’ll have to wait on reviews of how crowded the garden area will be. This is completely ridiculous!! Hopefully they will do away with it if guest satisfaction tanks. Way to go Disney…
That idea is about absurd. Disney is insulting their diehard fans like myself with their continuing wayyy overpriced add-ons!!
So this means twice the number of people in the garden viewing area evey night, those who like me bought the original tickets for the pre-show buffet and those who are now going to buy the after show buffet. The garden viewiing area isn’t exacting empty as is, now I can see us standing shoulder to shoulder just like the guests inside the ropes. Not fair! So now I’m paying just to stand shoulder to shoulder in a certain area? And yes I already purchased tickets for October.
