Keep reading for recommendations on where to stop and what dishes to skip on this year’s Walk.

Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine Basics

Rules review! There are seven dishes on the Walk, one for each color of the rainbow. For each dish that you buy, you’ll get a colored stamp in your Festival Passport at the register when you pay. When you’ve got 5 stamps, take your Passport to the Deco Delights Food Studio to redeem your prize. This year’s prize is a Figment rice krispie treat.

In your Festival Passport, Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine dishes are on page 40. On page 41, you’ll find spaces for the stamps. This year’s Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine menu is also listed below. We’ve put them in an orderly fashion from the front to the back of the park; if you’re entering from the International Gateway you can reverse the order. In a hurry with no time to read reviews? We’ve starred the five items we think are most worth your money.

Recommended Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine Dishes

Opening Bites | Enchanted Rose – $6.50

Milk chocolate rose with raspberry and rose center. There’s no question this was gorgeous to look at, and it tasted good too. The chocolate mousse of the rose was kind of on the wet side, but the yummy raspberry and rose center saved this dish. Not the best of the stroll, but worth it nonetheless.

The Deconstructed Dish | Deconstructed Key Lime Pie – $6.50

Flexible Key lime curd, “Key lime” mousse, graham cracker cake, and meringues. Oh flexible lime curd, you never disappoint us. This dish has been a staple of the menu at this booth for the last several years, and we always love it. It’s like the Old Faithful of the Wonderful Walk menu.

Deco Delights | Almond Frangipane Cake – $5.00

Cake layered with raspberry jam and Belgian chocolate. This mosaic cake a la Mondrian is practically a Festival icon. It was absent last year but it’s back! And it hasn’t changed a bit. If you’ve eaten it before, you know that means it’s got a nice flavor, but it’s dense and a bit on the dry side.

Gourmet Landscapes | Citrus-braised Beet Tartare – $5.50

Beets with golden beet “egg yolk,” mustard vinaigrette, pickled mustard seeds, pickled mushrooms, spiced pistachios, and “feta” snow. Last year’s Verjus-Roasted Beets was one of our favorite dishes, and we were sad to see they were not returning this year. But we are sad no more, because this new beet dish is amazing! The dish is gorgeous, the beets are sweet, the mustard and pickle are plucky and tangy, and the whole thing is just wonderful.

Tangierine Café | Avocado-Coconut Custard Tart – $5.25

Tart with pomegranate cream and henna-inspired gelée Veil. Our parks team thought this was divine. The gelée veil was beautiful and unusual. Artful even! A smooth, light custard was a nice contrast with the shortbread crust, and the whole dish was delicate and special.

Figment’s Inspiration Station | Raspberry Pastry Tart – $5.00

Sugar cookie with raspberry and lemon cream cheese filling. Who doesn’t want to love a “homemade” pop tart? It feels upscale and fun. Unfortunately, this one tastes kind of raw. Take the picture for your Instagram if you must, and move on. Or maybe you don’t need a picture that badly? Mass-produced box tarts might be mass-produced — but at least they taste good.

Vibrante & Vívido: Encanto Cocina | Chorizo and Potato Empanada – $6.75

Empanada with turmeric aïoli and annatto aïoli. This was one of our Festival favorites last year, and it makes us pretty sad to put it on the not-recommended list. But suppliers change from year to year and sometimes “returning” dishes are not the same. The 2025 version of this empanada was almost all pastry with very little filling. And either the turmeric aioli was laid on too heavy, or the turmeric was laid on too heavy in the aioli. Either way, not a winner.
